“ My mother was and still is my role model.  No matter how much I strive for the goal, I could never attain what I saw in her.  She was very insightful and loving.  She told me very early in my life that I was a writer (not that I was going to be one).   She named me Sherrie-Rita after two of her favorite actresses from the fifties,  I have been performing on stage before live audiences since a little girl, but my love for writing did not

manifest itself until much later. I came to realize that God had given mother the perfect sight with which to shape and fashion me, for she did not cease to encourage me to that end.

How blessed I was to have Bessie Lee Johnson for my mother.”

Sherrie Marshall, a graduate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee,
Florida, is also a secondary school teacher in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she lives with her husband, Rev. Hayden C. Marshall. She states that her work in ministry alongside him is both rewarding and demanding, but her gifts make room for her.

She has written several plays, which she has produced and directed for the stage, and has also received numerous accolades for her talents as an inspirational speaker, story teller, performing artist, and for her one woman

show performances. Students, teachers and audiences have benefited from her work-shops and performances.

In her latest book, INVISIBLE CHAINS: Anchored To A Lie, Sherrie-Rita Marshall reveals why the Democrat party has been successful in maintaining its stronghold on the black vote as well as other voters. She articulates with first hand objectivity, personal narrative and historical facts, the Democrat party's agenda and identifies some of the deceptive practices and strategies they have used to secure their position as the party of choice for Blacks.

"I was your typical Black American voter; I voted the democratic
ticket all of my life. Educated or uneducated, low income, middle income, or high income, across the board, Blacks overwhelmingly vote 'Democrat', but in the 2000 election, for the first time in my
 life, I voted Republican".

Why? What changed my mind? You have to be asking yourself that question.  One of the hardest things in life to do is to admit that you have been living a lie. To behold yourself in the mirror and see the mask of lies that has been your mantle is more than disconcerting; it is devasting, and it is destructive. Even more destructive than that is to walk away from the mirror leaving the mask in tact.

Mrs. Marshall identifies the Democratic party as a new type of slave master, an equal opportunity enslaver with victims of every race.

"Gone are the chains on the ankles, wrists, and necks, now come the chains on the minds and emotions". In this book, INVISIBLE CHAINS: Anchored To A Lie, you will learn what the Democratic Party does not want you to know. Invisible Chains is a mirror that seeks to unveil the mask and

allow you to behold truth. Millions of Americans in this country, of all races

and backgrounds are chained to a lie, I know because I too was chained.

You will learn the truth.

What is the lie? Invisible Chains will expose the lie that holds so many of America's citizens in bondage and chained to a new type of slave master

who is an equal opportunity enslaver with victims of every race; but there

is hope, that hope is TRUTH! For "whenever the foundation of our  warfare is truth, victory is imminent; for truth though crushed to the ground, will rise."
