Empowerment for Youth-90- minutes:
(educational/informational; humorous/entertaining;

inspirational; motivation/achievement; personal development)
The time is now for the youth of today to step out and do

extraordinary things. But how can they reach their full potential

when they don't think highly of themselves or their abilities?

This seminar will help them to increase their self-esteem and

develop self-values that will lead to their personal success.

Goal-setting for Teens - 90-minutes
This presentation is not only educational, but also inspirational

and entertaining while addressing student achievement and

personal development. Students willbe taught how to articulate

goals and identify ways of accomplishing those goals;

finally they will learn how to create a plan of action.

Stepping Out (Empowering Youth) – 90-minutes
Because of low self esteem, many students don’t believe they

can achieve beyond a certain level, but within them is that hot

button just waiting to be pushed. The speaker pushes that button

in an informative and entertaining manner and gives ideas that

will lead to success.

Story telling for all ages-60- minutes

These one-woman dramatic show performances include many

literary genres from ancient literature to modern day.

Half day and Full day Programs for Kindergarten

through High School

PROGRAM 1

The Half Day

History unfolds

Author and poet, Sherrie-Rita Marshall, travels the country

visiting schools and sharing her talent and her love of the

arts and literature with young people and adults. She has

authored nonfiction, fiction, and poetry books and Plays.

This program inspires a love of poetry and reading.

Marshall’s presentationsinclude multicultural storytelling.

In each program, she gives an introduction of herself as

an author and a peek into her personal life. She will dramatically

tell stories that excite and pique the imagination. At the

end of this interactive program, participants will receive an

autographed photo and a bookmark from the author.

Program 1 consists of two 50 minute presentations.

Arrive at: 8:30 am

First Assembly: 9:20 -10:10 am

[Short 15 min. break] Assembly: 10:25 – 11:15 am

Rate: $875 (Travel accommodations do apply)

If you do arrange for Ms. Marshall to speak at your school, there are

a few things you'll need to have ready. You will need the following:

A single room where all the classes can be brought. For obvious

reasons, this presents less difficulty than having Mrs. Marshall

switch rooms for each presentation.

The aforementioned room ought to have dimming lights or lights that

may be switched off, in order to better accommodate.

PROGRAM 2

The Full Day

Up Close and Personal

This is an ideal program for individual classroom appearances.

This program encourages creativity and imagination through

poetry and cultural storytelling. Sherrie-Rita’s presentation

includes an introduction of herself as an author and a peek

into her personal life. She will read excerpts from her books

of poetry and perform fictional storytelling. To close, she will

answer questions from inquiring students. Each student will

receive an autographed photo and a bookmark from the author.

Program 2 consists of a school day of presentations

Arrive at: 8:00 am (depending on the start of the day)

[Lunch Break 45 min]

Depart: 3:00 pm

Rate: $1520

(Travel accommodations do apply)

Preparations

If you do arrange for Mrs. Marshall to speak at your school,

there are a few things you'll need to have ready. You'll need

the following:

An overhead projector
- An extension cord (if necessary).
- An easel.
- A pad of drawing paper.
- Please inform us if any of these items are unavailable.
In addition to supplies, these presentations work best if the

children are properly prepared. This is best accomplished

by having the children read at least one of Mrs. Marshall’s

books before hand.

Autographs

On the day of the event, Mrs. Marshall will be happy to sign copies of every

book purchased, free of charge.

"Trade and paperback editions are available at a 25% discount off the list

price. If your order in advance, you may receive inscribed copies and

Sherrie Marshall Productions will pay the cost of shipping your order.

Advanced order must be at least four weeks prior to [Ms. Marshall’s] appearance. "

In addition to supplies, these presentations work best if the children

are properly prepared.
